UPDATE: The House of Represenatives just passed the economic stimulus package which includes more than $2 billion in job creating, ready-to-go projects as part of their proposed economic recovery package. This is great news. The proposal would create nearly 50,000 jobs in rural and urban communities nationwide to help our economy and give the national parks the boost they need as we approach the 100th anniversary of the National Park Service. It's not often we get to say thanks, so please take a minute to write your representatives and let them know you appreciate their support of our national parks. Take action!
