Urge President Biden and Secretary of the Interior, Deb Haaland, to expand Joshua Tree National Park and establish Chuckwalla National Monument through use of the Antiquities Act. For decades, NPCA has worked to protect the Greater Joshua Tree landscape. Joshua Tree National Park is a world-renowned region, characterized by wide-open vistas marked by iconic Joshua trees, yucca, rare rock formations and outdoor recreation. The proposed Joshua Tree National Park expansion would restore the 17,000 acres that were removed from its landscape in the 1940s, while the Chuckwalla National Monument would preserve over 600,000 acres between Joshua Tree National Park and the Colorado River. Make Joshua Tree National Park whole again.
