National parks like Grand Teton were set aside because the American people decided that these places are so special, so majestic that they should remain unimpaired for generations to come. That's why Major League Baseball’s (MLB) proposal to build a baseball stadium in Grand Teton is as outrageous as it sounds.
A baseball stadium would bring construction, lights, noise, and disruption to a landscape that is home to grizzly bears, moose, elk, and countless other species. There are many places to build a baseball stadium, but there is only one Grand Teton National Park.
This proposal is a direct assault on the very essence of our national parks. The Trump Administration is attempting to sell off our parks, building walls that no one wants or needs, erasing our history and now proposing to turn one of our most iconic landscapes into a ballpark.
This is a radical departure from over a century of unwavering, non-partisan stewardship of our national parks. Demand that Secretary Burgum publicly and permanently reject any proposal to build a baseball stadium in Grand Teton National Park.
