Since January, the National Park Service has lost one out of every four permanent staff members. Across the country, parks are cutting ranger programs, closing visitor centers, and falling behind on critical maintenance and research. The long-term protection of our nation’s most iconic landscapes and historic treasures is at serious risk.
Urge Congress to stand with the Senate’s strong, bipartisan funding bill that protects our parks and the people who care for them.
We know that when we invest in our national parks, we all win.
This Senate Appropriations Committee’s bill rejects the Trump administration’s reckless bid to slash park funding by $1 billion—a move that would have gutted our national parks. Instead, it keeps all 433 park units open, ensures rangers and staff stay on the ground, and protects the public’s access to places that define who we are as a nation.
Our parks belong to all of us. We must protect the places we love before it’s too late.
